The event begins with a pre-lunch networking reception to view project entries and a special awards toast with our "Engineering Elixer" mocktail.

A four-course luncheon includes a guest speaker and our Engineering Excellence Awards program, highlighting consulting engineering projects completed by ACEC Colorado member firms.

The EEA competition annually pays tribute to the year’s greatest examples of engineering excellence by Colorado consulting engineering firms for their projects in the built and natural environments. These projects demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value in designs for public and private market clients in the areas of transportation; energy; building performance; water resources; land surveying; and environmental, structural and geotechnical engineering.

Keynote Speaker Announced

We are thrilled to welcome Steve Spangler—nationally recognized speaker, educator, and author—as the keynote presenter at the Engineering Excellence Awards Luncheon on Friday, Nov. 14. Steve’s dynamic keynote, inspired by his brand-new book, The Engagement Effect, will deliver an unforgettable experience that blends storytelling, science, and practical strategies for sparking creativity and meaningful connections.

Additional Event Details 

  • Dietary Requests: Dietary requests must be submitted at time of event registration. The venue will do its best to accommodate dietary requirements, but cannot guarantee it is able to meet all requests. Registrants with food allergies should inform servers.

  • Parking: Complimentary self-parking will be available in the hotel garage and surface lot. Note the garage has a maximum clearance of 8'-2".

  • Attire: Business or business casual attire is recommended.

  • Seating Assignments: Each guest must check-in upon arrival to confirm seating and table assignment. 

  • Award Presentation: When each project is announced, project representative(s) will be invited to the stage to receive your award while a short video highlighting your project plays. After accepting your award, ACEC Colorado staff will guide you to the photography area for official photos.

  • Project Videos & Commemorative Program: All project videos will go live on the ACEC Colorado YouTube channel in a downloadable playlist. A QR code will be provided at the end of the luncheon to download a commemorative program featuring all award winners. The commemorative program and videos will be available on the ACEC Colorado website.

  • If you purchase a Reserved Table, please confirm and report all guest names and dietary requests to email@acec-co.org no later than Friday, November 7.

Registration Policies

  • Payment is required at time of registration.

  • Only cancellations received at least five business days prior to start of event are eligible for refunds.

  • Attendance at or participation in ACEC Colorado events/activities constitute an agreement by the attendee for the Council’s use and distribution of the attendee’s image and/or voice in photographs, videos, electronic reproductions, and audio recordings of such events/activities.

  • ACEC Colorado seeks to avoid antitrust violations in connection with its activities; therefore, participants should avoid engaging in conduct that gives even the appearance of an impermissible conversation, agreement, alliance or impropriety. You will be asked to confirm your choice of entrée when registering. 

  • Starter: Very Berry Salad (V, Veg, GF, DF, NO NUTS): Mixed Greens, Romaine, and Frisee with Blueberries, Raspberries, Blackberries, Strawberries, Mandarins, and Balsamic Vinaigrette
  • Main Entrée: Herb Marinated Bone-In Chicken Breast and Sirloin (GF) with Peppercorn Demi Sauce, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Seasonal Vegetables
  • Alternate Entrée – Eggplant Napoleon (V, Veg, GF, DF): Seared Tofu and Grilled Eggplant, Heirloom Tomato, Roasted Zucchini and Squash with Sundried Tomato Pesto
  • Dessert – Flourless Chocolate Cake (GF)
