ACEC Colorado Engineering Excellence Awards Luncheon
Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center (7800 E Tufts Ave, Denver, CO 80237)| Complimentary Parking
Friday, Nov. 8, 2024 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
This year's luncheon begins with a pre-lunch reception and gallery to view the award entries' project boards and a special awards toast with our "Engineering Elixer" mocktail.
A four-course luncheon includes a keynote address by Clare Haas Claveau, PE, COO of Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA), and Engineering Excellence Awards program, highlighting consulting engineering projects completed by ACEC Colorado member firms.
The EEA competition annually pays tribute to the year’s greatest examples of engineering excellence by Colorado consulting engineering firms for their projects in the built and natural environments. These projects demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value in designs for public and private market clients in the areas of transportation; energy; building performance; water resources; land surveying; and environmental, structural and geotechnical engineering.

Keynote Speaker Announced!
This year's keynote will be given by Clare Haas Claveau, PE. Clare is the Chief Operating Office of Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA). Her speech is titled Improving Community Outcomes Through True Partnerships.
With over 25 years in the civil and environmental engineering industry, Clare has successfully led project and program teams, provided technical training to staff and clients, and consulted on engineering challenges. As the COO, she provides the overall strategic leadership and oversight to the growth and stability of EWB-USA so that our volunteers can keep doing what they do best - changing the world one community at a time.
Clare is inspired daily by the passion and dedication of EWB-USA’s staff and volunteers and the impact they have in partnership with communities around the world. When Clare joined EWB-USA in 2016, she lead the nascent Community Engineering Corps program. Recognizing the infrastructure inequities many communities in the US face, Clare found it exciting to grow a program that helps address these inequities and puts underserved communities on a path to thrive.
Clare holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University. She is also a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Colorado.
