This orientation is presented in three parts:
- How the Process Works in Colorado: An overview of the legislative process in Colorado (election cycle, committees, leadership, bill drafting, bill sponsorship, bill tracking, role of association members, role of lobbyists, etc.).
- How to Draft & Deliver a Message: Tips and tools for providing input on bills, introducing yourself to and addressing legislators, meeting in-person/virtually with officials, preparing to testify, developing key legislation fact sheets, and participating in grassroots campaigns.
- What to Expect in 2021: A summary of legislation being put forth in Colorado and at the federal level.
Upon registration, you will receive a link to the recording as well as to other resources such as a PDF of the presentation slides and a toolkit with useful links.
